Exciting announcements abound, as we see 2017 come to an end, in great anticipation of what’s in store for 2018! Our hearts are full of gratitude. What a great community we serve and what an amazing group of patients that call our clinic(s) home! In 2016, we added some game-changing services to our tool belt, and we followed that up with even more in 2017. We are truly blessed to get to play the roles we play, as we get the privilege of seeing folks like you achieving life-changing results. I promise, there are even bigger things are in store for you in 2018 (more about that in a minute)!
One of the nicest problems we’ve discovered, with the growth and expansion of our service to you, is that we’ve run out of room. If you’ve been in the office over the last several months, you can see it’s beginning to be a little too cozy. Staff are sharing desks, some get stowed away in what used to be a storage area, and some of us don’t share our space as well as other do (not naming names here).
Not only will the additional space help with staff workspace, but more importantly, it also will provide a more open and comfortable area for you. We’re adding modern furnishings and conveniences, with a fresh new look, that we hope you’ll love. And since the architect on this redesign is a patient, who kept your needs as a patient in mind, the finished product should be something special.
Before I give you a sneak peek of what’s in store, some of you might get a kick out of the back story on how this transition happened, because it’s funny...now. Several months ago, the space adjoining our office to the west became available, at a time when we needed it most and it made sense. We visited with the property owner (whom we’ve had an amazing relationship with over the last 18 years), and he was thrilled to have us expand. A patient of mine happened to be in the office that afternoon and saw a rough drawing that I left on the desk. It just so happens that he’s a great architect (I’ve known that for many years, but somehow it didn’t connect in my brain until that day). He went to his office, drew up some amazing plans, and we submitted them to the property group and to the city. That all happened in less than 10 days. Then we wait on permits. And we wait. Those who know me well, know how patient I am. I wait…but I don’t like it. Thanksgiving comes and goes. A couple weeks in December pass, and I’m getting a little antsy.
We postponed making a decision about what our Christmas and New Year’s schedule would be for several weeks. After all, we’re still waiting on the permits. Finally, we decided to do something we had never done before. Our team worked their tails off this year, so we decided to give them the week between Christmas and New Year’s off.
Then, on the 7th day of Christmas, what did my true love bring to me? Signed construction permits! The team met yesterday, and they will begin the remodel on 12/26/17. Perfect timing, once again. The construction team’s goal is to get the loudest and dirtiest part of the work done that week, so patients don’t have to have the proverbial headache. Will it be done in a week? Of course not! We will do everything in our power to be sure this growth project doesn’t interfere with the quality treatment you’ve come to expect.
So, once the dust settles and the construction trucks leave, what can you expect? The additional space will include 2 large treatment suites, a comfy consultation room, an additional treatment room in the current space, all with a state-of-the-art look and feel.
